Come help plant some new green in Phinney Ridge! Volunteers from Forterra and others have been working at the Phinney Ave N & N 50th St triangle site for the past couple of years to remove weeds that were hurting the valuable and beautiful trees in the site. Now we are ready to plant healthy new ferns and other understory plants to protect the trees by keeping the ivy from returning. Tool and gloves provided, no experience necessary.
This is part of the City’s Trees for Seattle program which aims to expand our tree canopy and keep our air clean. The meetup location will be at the intersection of Phinney Ave N and N. 50th Street, the very SW corner of Woodland Park.
