Did you know we have our own North Seattle radio station? It’s true – KBFG 107.3 is a volunteer-run FM radio station dedicated to bringing quality programming and local music to Ballard, Fremont, Greenwood, and surrounding areas of North Seattle.
The KBFG staff is 100% volunteer labor, but like any radio station has high overhead for operating costs: equipment expenses, music licensing fees, rent, insurance, and utilities. From 6:00 a.m. on December 20 to 6:00 a.m. on December 21, KBFG is holding a 24 hour Party and Pledge Drive with a goal of raising $5000 in much-needed funds.
They will play music, discuss local issues, and share the importance of local radio and a community-sourced media outlet. Thank you gifts will be sent out for all donations. Memberships will include one top tier gift opportunity per 3-hour DJ shift.
