Phinney-Greenwood Giving Trees closing next week – a great opportunity to give back

by | Dec 6, 2019

Does the season find you in the giving spirit? While you’re out and about, please be sure to take a tag from one of the various Giving Tree locations around the community to purchase gifts for neighbors in need. Most gifts are due back at the location you picked up the tag by next Tuesday (11th) or Wednesday (12th) so before you grab that tag, be sure that you can purchase and return the gift on time.

Each tree is filled with tags that detail gifts under $30 that some of our neighbors in need have indicated would bring joy to their holidays.

These gifts bring a much needed boost to children and adults from agencies including Broadview Emergency Shelter, Cate & Lakeview Apartments, Dorothy Day House, Robert Eagle Staff Middle School, FamilyWorks Food Bank, Greenwood Senior Center, PNA Hot Meal Program, and Whitman Middle School.

It’s easy to help! Pick up a gift tag (or two) at the following locations, then purchase the gift ($20-30) and return it to the location you picked up the tag by the due date (December 10 or after).

Phinney Center – 6532 Phinney Ave N
