Día de los Muertos – Day of the Dead Festival – this Saturday

by | Oct 31, 2019

Celebrate Día de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday honoring the dead with food, drink, and festivities. This free celebration will begin with a community procession and dedication of a traditional altar for offerings to the deceased. Bring your offerings (pictures, mementos, small items) to the Phinney Center before or during the event to be included on the altar. You can pick them back up at the Phinney Center by November 11 or take them back with you.

Come and enjoy live music and dance, decorate sugar skulls, do arts & crafts, get your face painted, eat delicious food, and drink Mexican hot chocolate. This event is free and open to all!  Some crafts and activities do have a suggested donation of $2. There will be food for purchase from Luna Azul and Patty Pan Grill.

The procession starts in the Phinney Center Upper Parking Lot at 3 pm.
