This Saturday is the first ever Seattle Children’s Book Festival. The event is free, open to the public, and features award-winning children’s book authors and illustrators from all over the United States including:

- Dana Simpson (author/illustrator of Phoebe and her Unicorn)
- Suzanne Selfors (author of Wedgie and Gizmo)
- LeUyen Pham (illustrator of Princess in Black)
- Leslie Patricelli (author of Baby Board Books)
- Marissa Meyer (author of the Lunar Chronicles)
- Corinna Luyken (author/illustrator of The Book of Mistakes)
- Kazu Kibuishi (author/illustrator of Amulet)
- Varian Johnson (author of The Parker Inheritance)
- Dan Gemeinhart (author of The Honest Truth)
- Troy Cummings (author/illustrator of Notebook of Doom)
- Ben Clanton (author/illustrator of Narwhal and Jelly)
- Asia Citro (author of Zoey and Sassafras)
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet favorite authors and illustrators, purchase signed copies of their books, participate in hands-on literacy activities and crafts, and hear several of our authors/illustrators present throughout the day.
