Was racing gourds at last week’s farmer’s market not enough excitement for you? Follow that on Friday, August 9th with a special happy hour event in the Phinney Farmers Market.
All drinks are $5 and the proceeds benefit the Good Farmer Fund and the longevity of the market.
Come to the market and shop your regular list of fruits, veggies, eggs, bread, and treats then sip while supporting a great cause. Plus, each drink ticket doubles as a raffle entries to win $50 in farm bucks to be spent at any of our seven Neighborhood Farmers Markets. The happy hour will run from 4pm-7pm.
The Good Farmer Fund provides emergency relief to farmers to mitigate situations such as: crop losses due to extreme weather, loss of equipment or greenhouses in fire or heavy snow, and protecting livestock from predators. Since 2008, Neighborhood Farmers Markets has granted over $255,000 in emergency relief funds with thanks to events like the Phinney Farmers Market Happy Hour and their annual fundraiser, An Incredible Feast.
