27th Annual Greenwood Car Show Round Up

by | Jun 28, 2019

The 27th annual Greenwood Car Show is upon us! Hosted by the Greenwood Knights since 2009, the Car Show is a successful fundraiser that gives back to the community through a variety of local nonprofits and automotive-related scholarships – generating more than $175,000 in the past decade.

The show starts at 8am and spans the length of Greenwood, from 70th to North of 85th. The award ceremony on the main stage (79th and Greenwood) will be at 3pm and the festivities wrap up at 4pm.

In addition to the main attractions, there are abundant auxiliary attractions for all ages:

Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Greenwood Senior Center. From 7-11am at the senior center, you can read more about it here or in the previous Blog posting to this one.

Car Show Kid’s Zone. Sponsored by Top Ten Toys and open from 10am – 2pm, this will be in Morrow Lane between N. 85th and N. 87th Streets. A great stopover break for the kids, there will be the ubiquitous bouncy house, dunk tank, games, prizes, and even a good old-fashioned Pinewood Derby car race put on by local boy scouts.

3rd Annual Windermere Greenwood Beer Garden for Charity will take place in the Windermere Greenwood parking lot (311 N 85th St) during the Car Show from 11am to 5pm. There will be live music and corn hole for entertainment. All proceeds from this event will go to the Windermere Foundation, which supports low-income and homeless families in our communities; last year this event raised $3,000.
