Woodland Park’s Off-Leash Dog Area closed for renovation until March 2, a week longer than originally planned

Woodland Park’s Off-Leash Dog Area closed for renovation beginning this week. While the original plan was to be closed about two weeks, the Parks Department told me today that it will be closed until March 2.
Crews are installing a small- and shy-dog area to replace the fence around the wooded area inside the off-leash area.
Funding is coming from the Seattle Park District’s Maintaining Parks and Facilities funding initiative, which provides $100,000 annually until 2020 to improve existing off-leash areas.
