Open house for Urban Village proposed zoning changes is Feb. 28 in Ballard

The City of Seattle is hosting a series of Mandatory Housing Affordability open houses to show proposed zoning changes to Urban Villages. The open house for City Council Districts 5 and 6 is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Whitman Middle School, in the gym, 9201 15th Ave. NW in Ballard.
Districts 5 and 6 include the following urban villages: Aurora-Licton Springs, Ballard, Bitter Lake, Crown Hill, Fremont, Greewood-Phinney Ridge, Lake City and Northgate.
Then at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 12, the Select Committee on Citywide Mandatory Housing Affordability will hold a public hearing on the proposed zoning changes for Districts 5 and 6 at the Northgate Community Center, 10510 5th Ave. NE.
