Two folk concerts at the PNA this weekend, be aware of closed streets downtown Saturday for Women’s March 2.0

It looks to be a fairly quiet weekend in the neighborhood. Here’s what’s on tap, but check our Events calendar any time for updated listings.
Seattle Folklore Society presents Bryan Bowers Trio at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and SVER — Epic Norwegian Folk Music at 7 p.m. Sunday, both at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in Community Hall in the Brick Building.
Progressive Spirituality Discussion Group from 4-5 p.m. Sunday at Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, 8570 Greenwood Ave. N.
Traffic-wise this weekend:

  • Saturday is the Seattle Women’s March 2.0, which begins with a rally at 10 a.m. at Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill and continues downtown to the Seattle Center. About 40,000 people are expected, so be aware of street closures, tight parking, extra traffic and crowded and rerouted buses.
  • Also on Saturday, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will perform intermittent lane closures on westbound State Route 520 between the floating bridge and Interstate 5 from 4-9 a.m. while they inspect the overhead signs. At least one lane will remain open to traffic during the closures.
