Help activate the new Greenwood Library Park

by | Oct 5, 2017

The volunteer group Friends of Greenwood Library Park is inviting neighbors to the park Greenwood Library from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, to come up with ideas to activate the space over the next six months before construction starts.

The park is currently open lawn with some log benches. Construction is scheduled to begin next spring and be completed sometime during the summer. The park will have a nature discovery trail, plaza with picnic tables, and dog “comfort stations,” among other elements.

The park takes up the entire east side of the block of Greenwood Avenue North between 81st and 82nd streets, directly north of the Greenwood Library. It will be connected to the library with an elevated crosswalk over 81st Street.
