Farmers Market, Beer Taste, jazz, theater in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

Seems like a fairly quiet weekend in Phinney Ridge and Greenwood. Here are a few events; check our Events calendar any time for more.

Around the World Luncheon Series Goes to Chile at 12 p.m. Friday at the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St. $5. RSVP at 206-297-0875.

The Phinney Farmers Market is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Fresh fruit, veggies, bread, pasta, flowers, ice cream, popsicles, cider, beer, wine, meat, eggs and more, plus several dining options and live music by Whiskey Cove Players.

Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St., continues its run of the musical adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Persuasion.”

Phinney Neighborhood Association’s annual Summer Beer Taste from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. (ages 21 and over only).

Open Jazz Jam with Kenny Mandell (all levels welcome) from 2-4:15 p.m. Sunday at Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.

Traffic-wise this weekend:

  • Swedish Seafair Triathlon is Sunday morning at Seward Park on Lake Washington Boulevard.
  • Chinatown Seafair Parade is from 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the International District.
