Easter egg hunts in and near the neighborhood

Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting free egg hunts at community centers throughout the city. These are the nearest ones to our neighborhood:

Spring Egg Scramble at Green Lake Community Center on Saturday, April 15. Ages 1-3 at 10 a.m., ages 4-6 at 10:30 a.m., and ages 7-10 at 11 a.m. Rain or shine; bring your own basket or bag.

Spring Egg Hunts at Ballard Community Center Field, Bitter Lake Community Center Annex, Loyal Heights Community Center, and Magnolia Community Center Field, on Saturday, April 15. For ages 10 and under; bring your own basket or bag. All egg hunts begin at 10 a.m. sharp (plan to arrive by 9:45 a.m.)

Spring Egg Hunt at Queen Anne Community Center Gym on Saturday, April 15. For ages 11 and under; rain or shine; bring your own basket or bag. Hunt from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

And Woodland Park Zoo’s annual Bunny Bounce is from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, in the North Meadow. It’s free with zoo admission or membership; bring your own basket or bag. Ages 3 and under will have continuous egg hunts from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; ages 3-5 and 6-8 will have hunts every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. (Candy will not be placed inside the eggs, instead children will receive their treats as they exit the zoo.)
