SPD: Teen suspect arrested for Greenwood area pot shop burglary last month

by | Mar 17, 2017

From the SPD Blotter:

A cache of rifles, handguns, and pot still in its retail packaging were among the items seized early Thursday when SPD SWAT officers and Robbery detectives served a warrant at an Everett apartment and arrested a 16-year-old robbery suspect, wanted for an armed hold up late last month at a North Seattle marijuana dispensary.

Back on February 21st, four suspects walked into a pot shop in the 300 block of North 105th Street, held employees up at gunpoint and stole various marijuana products.

Police had previously identified and arrested two other suspects in the case–one man was arrested last month in Snohomish County in an unrelated investigation and a second man, who turned himself in to police. Detectives are still seeking a fourth suspect.

After serving the warrant in Everett Thursday and arresting the 16-year-old, officers seized three handguns, a rifle, a shotgun, ammunition and 17 different vials and packages of marijuana products from his home before booking him into the King County Youth Service Center for robbery.

The same day, SPD’s law enforcement partners in Snohomish County also served a warrant at a home in Monroe and recovered firearms and large amounts of marijuana as part of a related investigation.
