Finally, it’s Election Day. Washington is an all-mail-in state, so there are no polls to go to in person. Your ballot MUST be postmarked by Tuesday, or dropped in an official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
HOWEVER, King County does have three Accessible Voting Centers for anyone with a disability who needs specialized equipment or trained staff to cast their ballot: one each in downtown Seattle, Renton and Bellevue.
If mailed, use a first-class stamp (some counties have longer ballots that require extra postage, but King County does not). If dropping in a mail box, make sure to check the pickup time on the mail box door. If it’s after that time, you’ll need to take it to a post office by 5 p.m. for it to be postmarked Tuesday.
No postage is required if you put it in a Ballot Drop Box. Drop Boxes are open 24 hours a day, and close at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

- Ballard Library, corner of NW 57th Street and 22nd Avenue NW
- Broadview Library, 12755 Greenwood Ave. N.
- Green Lake Community Center, 7201 East Green Lake Drive N.

King County’s Election website will begin posting results at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Every major television network will be hosting live election coverage all night long, so take your pick.
If you want to watch live election results with a group of neighborhood folks, Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., will be live streaming election results while hosting an evening of political songs, stand-up comedy and commentary with singer/songwriter Jim Page, Couth Buzzard’s own Sara Depp, and comedian and storyteller Jeffrey Robert.
Bohemian Studios, at 7601 Greenwood Ave. N., #101, is hosting “Free Yoga for Solidarity” at 6:30 p.m. After yoga practice, they’ll watch election returns. RSVP on the event’s Facebook page.
The North Star Diner at Greenwood and 87th will have election results in their Shanghai Room with food and drink specials and a DJ.
Lantern Brewing, 938 N. 95th St., is open from 5-10 p.m. for election night celebrating/commiserating.
Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, 8750 Greenwood Ave. N., will have election coverage on and beer specials, including the new NE x NW IPA.
