“Hands Around Green Lake” – billed as a peaceful protest against President-elect Trump from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday around the 2.8-mile Green Lake Loop.
Seattle7Writers Holiday Bookfest from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., with 25 Seattle authors signing their books, plus several author readings, music by the The Rejections, and homemade treats by the authors. A portion of the proceeds benefits literacy programs of the PNA and Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas.
Seattle Folklore Society presents Lucy Kaplansky in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the Brick Building. Tickets in advance are $20 general; $17 SFS/PNA members, seniors and students; kids half price (all tickets are $2 more day of the show, if available).
The Whateverly Brothers in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.
Workshop: What Does It Mean To Be White? with Dr. Robin DiAngelo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church, 302 N. 78th St.

- UW Huskies play Arizona State at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Husky Stadium.
- Green Lake Gobble 10K & 5K Run and Walk from 9:30-11 a.m. Sunday on streets and trails around Green Lake to raise money for the Union Gospel Mission.
- Seattle Seahawks play Philadelphia Eagles at 1:25 p.m. Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
