Design proposal meeting for new park at 81st & Greenwood is tonight

by | Nov 2, 2016

Just a reminder that the first community meeting on design proposals for the new park coming to Greenwood Avenue North and North 81st Street is from 6-7:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in Room 7.
The design process will move quickly to keep up with the construction schedule, so this is your best chance for input. If you can’t make the meeting, you’ll be able to see the design option boards and comment sheets when they are posted at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, the Greenwood Library and on the project website after Nov. 2.
The two buildings on the east side of Greenwood at 81st will be demolished. The south part of the block (where the small strip mall of restaurants and convenience store was) will be developed in 2017 with funds from the Seattle Park District. The north parcel (where Bleachers Pub used to be) will be open lawn until more funding is received for development.
