Next design meeting for new park by Greenwood Library is Wednesday

by | Nov 10, 2016

The process for designing our neighborhood’s newest park is moving rapidly. The park at Greenwood Avenue North and North 81st Street, next to the Greenwood Library, will have another public design meeting at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St.
More than 100 people gave their input at the first public meeting on Nov. 2. Seattle Parks and Recreation presented three concepts that were different arrangements of similar functions: play, open space, seating, gathering spaces and landscaping. The Nov. 15 meeting is sponsored by the group Friends of the Library Park to gather more public input before the next official Parks Department meeting sometime in January (date to be determined).
