Gorditos reopens after fixing heavy damage from March 9 gas explosion

by | Aug 15, 2016

Gorditos Mexican restaurant has reopened after being heavily damaged in the March 9 natural gas explosion that destroyed three businesses around the corner, and damaged another 50.

The restaurant, at 213 N. 85th St., announced on its Facebook page Saturday morning that it was reopening that day, and crowds appeared brisk. KING 5 had a nice story that night.

Mr. Gyros, which was one of the businesses that was destroyed in the blast, is parking its food truck most afternoons and evenings in the now-empty lot on Greenwood Avenue North between North 84th and 85th streets.
