Friday Afternoon Tea hoping to open at 65th and Phinney

by | Aug 30, 2016

Friday Afternoon Tea, an online tea store for the past six years, is hoping to open its first brick-and-mortar location at 6410 Phinney Ave. N., where Violet Sweet Shoppe used to be (and Mae’s Café before that).

Owner Friday Elliott is also a self-professed “geek” who wants her tea shop to be a hangout for gamers with organized game nights, as well as craft nights and book clubs. She also plans special workshops on pairing and blending teas, and educational tea tastings for groups.

Friday Afternoon Tea has a Kickstarter campaign through Sept. 14 to raise enough money to secure the location and renovate and furnish it.
