Farmers Market and jazz in Greenwood-Phinney Ridge this weekend

by | Aug 19, 2016

It seems like a quiet weekend for our neighborhood, with few events on our Events Calendar.
As usual, the Phinney Farmers Market is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Fresh fruit, berries, veggies, bread, meat, eggs, flowers, cider, ice cream, popsicles, and lots of dining options. If you’re walking there from Greenwood, the Phinney Farmers Market Walking Group leaves the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St., at 3 p.m.
Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., once again hosts Open Jazz Jam with Kenny Mandell (all levels) from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday.
It’s supposed to be a scorcher this weekend, and most branches of the Seattle Public Library have air conditioning and are open to anyone who needs to cool off. The Closest libraries to our neighborhood with air conditioning are the Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N.; Broadview Library, 12755 Greenwood Ave. N.; Ballard Library, 5614 22nd Ave. N.W.; and Wallingford Library,1501 N. 45th St.
