Whittier Elementary’s online auction open for anyone to bid

by | Mar 22, 2016

Whittier Elementary School in Ballard, with boundaries that extend into Phinney Ridge and Greenwood, is hosting its biennial auction to raise money for library books, classroom supplies, extra nursing time and other staffing needs. Before the silent and live auction main event on April 2, the PTA is running an online auction that is open to anyone anywhere in the world.

Just go to whittierauction.org and create an account and bid on items from local businesses like restaurants, breweries and hair salons (and PhinneyWood advertising). Big ticket items include the chance to be part of a Tyler Perry Studios movie or TV show, and a family membership to the YMCA for an entire year (worth more than $1,600).

Dozens of items are in each of the five closings, which are at 10 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, beginning March 23 through April 1.
