by | Dec 31, 2015

This is a reminder that the second Early Design Guidance meeting for the development at 9701 Aurora Ave. N. is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan 4. (Note that this is an earlier time than originally scheduled.)

The project will replace the Gold’s Gym building with a six-story self-storage warehouse, with a caretaker’s unit. It will take up the entire block of the west side of Aurora Avenue between 97th and 98th streets, and have surface parking for 17 vehicles.

The meeting is at the Ballard Community Center, 6020 28th Ave. NW, in the Sunset/Captain Ballard Room, which is ADA compliant. (If you need a translator or interpreter, contact the Public Resource Center at [email protected] or 206-684-8467 at least five business days prior to the meeting).

Also at the Jan. 4 meeting, starting at 6:30 p.m., the NW Design Review Board will have the second Early Design Guidance meeting for another project, at 13524 Linden Ave. N., which is currently an empty lot. That proposal is for a 6-story building with 100 assisted living units, and below-grade parking for 43 vehicles.
