Reminder: Hunger Goblin Trick or Treat is this afternoon

by | Oct 31, 2015

HungerGoblin14-resizedJust a reminder that our neighborhood’s annual Hunger Goblin Trick or Treat at participating businesses is set for 12-3 p.m. today (Saturday). Look for the Hunger Goblin posters in the windows, or just follow the crowds.

While a fun event for children, it’s also a fundraiser for the Greenwood Food Bank. Anyone in costume can trick or treat, but children are encouraged to donate either a can of food or $2 at various donation stations along Phinney and Greenwood avenues during the event, or at Umpqua Bank, 7120 Greenwood Ave. N., the week before. Those who donate will receive a special Hunger Goblin sticker to wear.

And remember that lots of children will be out trick or treating tonight in the dark. Please drive slowly and watch for people wearing dark clothing. If you’re trick or treating, please bring a flashlight or other lit up object so cars so can see you.
