The former Yen Wor Garden’s windows are covered with paper.
UPDATE: We just heard from Caitlin Lombardi, one of the new owners of The North Star Diner. She tells us she and her husband, Tony, and their partner, Travis Clark, have all worked in the restaurant industry for many years, but this is their first restaurant as owners.
She says the restaurant side will be The North Star Diner, which will serve brunch, including build-your-own breakfast burritos, homemade pies, and milkshakes. The karaoke side of the space will be a bar called The Shanghai Room, which will offer karaoke seven nights a week.
Both will be open 24 hours a day with the full menu available on both sides. The diner side will be open 24 hours a day; the bar side will be open from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. The full menu will be available on both sides.
They’re hoping for a summer opening.
