Remember that the community councils of Greenwood, Broadview, Haller Lake and Pinehurst are hosting a District 5 candidates forum from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at the Bitter Lake Community Center, 13035 Linden Ave. N. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Come ask questions of the candidates and let them know your priorities for the district.
Seven of the nine Seattle City Council positions will now be elected by district. The new District 5 covers Greenwood north of 85th Street, extending from Puget Sound on the west to Lake Washington on the east, up to 145th Street. The new District 6 covers all of Ballard and Phinney Ridge and part of Greenwood.
