by | Sep 26, 2014

A man was beaten by a large group of attackers around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon near the Greenwood Park P-Patch on North 88th Street.
According to the online police report (which has names blacked out), the victim was walking through the park when various witnesses reported seeing a group of about 10 black males and females (possibly juveniles) taunting and then assaulting him. The victim hit his head on a curb. The victim was treated by Seattle Fire medics, then transported to Northwest Hospital for a laceration on top of his head and a bump on the left side of his head.
Two witnesses told police “that they can both positively identify the suspects because they are always in the park causing problems.”
A friend of the victim is trying to put us in touch with the victim’s sister to find out more information and his condition. We will update this post as we get more information.
Update Friday 12:30 p.m.: The victim’s friend tells us he is still in the hospital.
