Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery plans to open at 8570 Greenwood Ave. N. in January or February of 2015. It will not offer food, but is working to arrange delivery from nearby restaurants. The member-owned and operated brewery is currently fundraising and recruiting new members.

The World Affairs Council is looking for host families for one- to two-week visits by international students attending leadership programs this summer. They still need 10 families to host Mexican students from July 21-Aug. 2, one host family for a North Africa & the Middle East student from July 24-30, and three host families for Chinese students from Aug. 12-23. Garbage, yard waste and recycling pick up will be on a normal schedule this Friday, July 4. The City of Seattle’s South Transfer Station is open extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week since the North Transfer Station closed for remodeling. The South Transfer Station is at 130 South Kenyon Street in South Park.
