Possible measles exposure at two Aurora Avenue businesses last Saturday

The Washington State Department of Health says a Whatcom County woman who was contagious with measles may have exposed people in Seattle last weekend. The woman was at Beth’s Cafe at 7311 Aurora Ave. N. sometime between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, and at Aurora Suzuki, 7409 Aurora Ave. N., between 9:45 a.m. and 12:15 a.m.

Anyone who has not been vaccinated against measles is at risk. According to the DOH, “Measles is highly contagious and can cause severe illness with rash, fever, cough, eye irritation, and can be fatal.”
