Weekend events: Farmers Market, live music, Artwalk, theater and more

Here are some highlights of weekend events in and around Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. Check our Events calendar any time for more.
The Phinney Farmers Market is from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the upper parking lot.
The monthly Art Up Artwalk is from 6-9 p.m. Friday at dozens of art galleries and other businesses. Some restaurants have specials during the Artwalk. Check out the website for a full list of artists, venues, and a map.
Open Mic at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, 225 N. 70th St.
Contra Dance at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the PNA, in the Brick Building.
“Illyria” opens this weekend at Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St., and runs through Aug. 10.
Mayor Mike McGinn and other city and neighborhood leaders will celebrate the completion of the Linden Avenue North Complete Street Project from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday with a ribbon cutting, entertainment, music and an artwork installation. Linden Avenue North will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. between North 130th and 135th streets. The celebration will be in front of the Bitter Lake Community Center, 13035 Linden Ave. N.
The Seattle Police Department North Precinct Picnic is from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 10049 College Way N.
Low Tide Drifters — PNW Folklore Society Coffee House Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. On Saturday it’s Pint & Dale — Return From Across the Continental Divide at 7:30 p.m.
The 5th Greenwood Lit Crawl starts at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Furnishments at Greenwood and 73rd, then makes its way down the street to Makeda Coffee, Greenwood Library, Chocolati and Naked City Brewery.
Down at Green Lake from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday it’s the Seafair Milk Carton Derby.
Over in Ballard this weekend is the annual SeafoodFest, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Organizers are expecting 25,000 people to pack the streets. There’s live music, food booths, lots of vendors and plenty of fun.
