PhinneyWood District Initiative

Rooted in Community. Built for the Future.

PhinneyWood is a neighborhood with character, energy, and momentum. Our businesses, walkable streets, and sense of place make this one of Seattleโ€™s most unique districts.

To keep that momentum strong, neighbors and property owners are coming together to launch the PhinneyWood District Initiative.

The BIA is a way to invest locally, protect what works, and plan for the future โ€” funding services like sidewalk cleaning, graffiti removal, events, business support, and public space improvements.

This effort is overseen by the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA), which has served as a community anchor for 45 years. With the PNAโ€™s leadership and a Ratepayer Advisory Board made up of property and business owners, the initiative ensures decisions stay local, transparent, and community-driven.

Why it matters?

  • Keeps PhinneyWood clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Supports local businesses and property value
  • Strengthens our neighborhood in uncertain times
  • Ensures funds are managed by the community, not the City
