Phinney-Greenwood businesses: Be on the lookout for man trying to use counterfeit $100 bills

by | May 4, 2013

The owners of Picnic at Greenwood and 68th tell us that a man came in to their business on Thursday and tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for a very small purchase. But they always use a special pen to check bills over $20, and they discovered it was fake. The man became defensive and left quickly.

They wanted to give a heads up to other businesses in the neighborhood to be especially wary of anyone trying to pay for a small purchase with a $100 bill.
