Live music, fall festival and Dia de los Muertos in the neighborhood this weekend

The Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Dia de los Muertos Festival begins at 6 p.m. Friday with a procession down several blocks, followed by traditional performances, making sugar skulls, Mexican hot chocolate, and more.

Jazz First Fridays with Ronin 3 and Dick Valentine, Ken Strong and Stephen Fandrich at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. it’s Scott Katz, Mike Buchman, Tom Armstrong, Josh Brugman — Songwriters in Seattle Monthly Showcase.

Seattle Folklore Society presents Dan Weber (below) in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, Brick Building. Salmonfeathers (Cathy Britell, Jean Geiger and William Limbach) open the concert with new and familiar Americana and roots songs. More information and reservations online, or call or 206-528-8523.

Preschool at the Harbor (PATH) is hosting a free Fall Festival from 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, at 9204 11th Ave. NW with a bouncy house, games and treats.

And don’t forget to Fall Back on your clock at 2 a.m. Sunday when Daylight Savings Ends.
