Weekend work on 80th Street rescheduled for Saturday

by | Oct 13, 2012

Seattle Department of Transportation had planned to return North 80th Street to its original configuration next weekend, but has moved the work up to this weekend, because the forecast is better than expected.
North 80th Street has been the detour route for nearly a year as SDOT repaved 85th Street from Ballard to I-5. The roadway between Linden Avenue North and Burke Avenue North was restriped to allow two lanes in the eastbound direction, but now road crews will return the roadway to its original configuration.
That work is scheduled to happen from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Drivers may experience some short-term delays until the work is done.
