The big annual PhinneyWood Artwalk is coming up on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12.
More than 150 local artists will be showing off their talents at more than 70 Greenwood and Phinney Ridge businesses between North 60th and 87th streets. Artwork includes paintings, sculptures, photography, prints, glass, metal and fiber art, ceramics and mixed media.
Many businesses also will have music, street performers, and activities for children, and some restaurants will offer Artwalk specials.
The PhinneyWood ArtWalk is organized by the Greenwood Arts Council, an all-volunteer organization, in collaboration with the Phinney Neighborhood Association, and the ArtUp Phinney-Greenwood monthly art walk, with funding support from the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
ArtWalk maps will be available the week of the event at participating businesses as well as the Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N., and the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave N.
Official Artwalk hours are 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 11, and 12-5 p.m. Saturday, May 12.
