Greenwood Avenue and 85th Street intersection closed this weekend

by | May 3, 2012

The major repaving project of N/NW 85th Street and Greenwood Avenue North continues, and this weekend the intersection of Greenwood Avenue North and North 85th Street will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday.
The work is dependent on the weather though, so it might be rescheduled if too much rain is forecast.
Seattle Department of Transportation crews will work 24 hours a day. Traffic will be detoured, but local access provided. Eastbound detours remain in effect on N/NW 85th Street between 8th Avenue NW and Greenwood Avenue North (cars will be detoured south to 80th).
The intersection also will be closed next weekend.
For more information, contact the 24-hour project line at 206-496-9993, email [email protected], or check out the project’s website.
Remember: All businesses in the area remain open! Planks have been placed over ripped up sidewalks and driveways into businesses are open wherever possible.
