Three dozen art galleries and businesses are participating in Friday night’s monthly Art Up Artwalk. The Artwalk officially runs from 6-9 p.m., but many galleries stay open until 10. Check the Artwalk website for a full list of participating businesses and artists. Here are a few highlights.

Raised on farm in the mountains of Idaho, I grew up on a steady diet of dinosaurs, comic books and National Geographic, which developed my desire to draw everything.”
Umpqua Bank, 7120 Greenwood Ave. N., is hosting a free concert by Ayron Jones & The Way from 7-8:30 p.m. They are 1 of 86 bands from around the world competing in a contest to open up for Bruce Springsteen in London.

Bring your own bad art submission for the contest for “baddest” art entry!”
