Gorgeous shadow effect over the Olympic Mountains

Mark Ashmun sent us this beautiful shot of a shadow over the Olympic Mountains, taken from Phinney Ridge during last night’s sunset.

“In all my years on the ridge I have never seen this effect before!” he writes.
