Weekend intersection closures canceled because of expected weather

by | Mar 16, 2012

Seattle Department of Transportation has canceled this weekend’s planned closures on North 85th Street at Greenwood Avenue North and Palatine Avenue North because of expected rain.
Next week, SDOT plans to start paving on Monday between 10th Avenue NW and 8th Avenue NW, on the north side. That work will happen (weather permitting) between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Short-term side street and driveway restrictions will be required. SDOT will notify you in advance if your driveway will be affected.
And road crews will continue to replace concrete roadway panels, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and curb ramps along NW 85th Street. Access will be closed to and from NW 85th Street at Mary Avenue NW, 13th Avenue NW, 10th Avenue NW and Dibble Avenue NW. The eastbound detour remains in place.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain from 8th Avenue NW to Greenwood Avenue North. Crews plan to close the intersection of NW 85th Street and 3rd Avenue NW next Friday, March 23, through Monday, March 26.
