Work continues on new 80th & Greenwood intersection, textured crosswalk installed on one side

Seattle Department of Transportation crews continue to rebuild the intersection of Greenwood Avenue North and North 80th Street. The intersection was closed to all traffic and pedestrians all of last weekend, and will be closed again from 6 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
The parking lane on the east side of Greenwood just south of 80th is currently blocked off for materials and SDOT vehicles.

Here’s a closeup of the new textured crosswalks, which look like old-fashioned pavers, and are designed to make the crosswalk stand out more.
