Live music, school gardening, beer and toys in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

The monthly Greenwood-Phinney Art Up Artwalk is from 6-9 p.m. Friday at more than two dozen businesses along Phinney/Greenwood avenues.
Friday is Open Mic night at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, 225 N. 70th St., starting at 6:15 p.m.
The Pacific NW Folklore Society presents “Choroloco” coffeehouse concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. And Threshold Playback Theatre presents “Occupy Your Ideals” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Phinney Neighborhood Association’s 24th annual Beer Taste is from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, with 33 Northwest microbreweries. Tickets are $25 for PNA members, $35 for non-members, and $10 for designated drivers. Tickets include 10 tastes, pub style snacks and a silent auction of beer swag.
Greenwood Elementary is hosting its first community meeting and ground breaking for its new school garden at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, 144 NW 80th St., in the commons on the first floor.
And did you know that Saturday is Neighborhood Toy Store Day? Top Ten Toys at 104 N. 85th St. is celebrating with craft and science activities, face painting, balloon sculpting and giveaways.
Don’t forget that Metro is on a reduced bus schedule on Friday, in honor of Veteran’s Day. The 48 Express will be canceled, and the 28 Express and 358 will have some trips canceled. See Metro’s website for more details.
