by | May 23, 2011

From the Seattle Police Department Blotter:

On May 22nd, just after 3:00 AM, North Precinct officers responded to what was first reported as someone shot in the 8700 Block of Greenwood Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers determined that the adult male victim had not been shot, but did have a large cut across the side of his neck. The victim and two witnesses pointed out the suspect to officers. The suspect was taken into custody. The victim and suspect are unknown to each other, and it appears that the assault occurred after an argument at the bus stop. Officers did locate shards of glass from a broken bottle at the scene. Despite the initial appearance of the wound, it was determined not to be life-threatening. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Seattle Fire treated the suspect at the scene for a laceration to his hand. The suspect was later booked into jail.
