It’s Jazz First Fridays with Kenny Mandell and Don Berman, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Cafe, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. Free.
The Nazi-era play “The Beams are Creaking” continues at Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St.
Monarch Duo performs its take on gypsy and klezmer music from 8-10 p.m. Friday at Empty Sea Studios, 6300 Phinney Ave. N. With Timba Harris & Hadi Karima Asil.
Singer/Songwriter’s Circle is from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Cafe. Host Val D’Allesso shares songs with guests Jennifer Spector, Dave Tilman, Jack Quick. Free.
Forrest Gibson, Jim Miller, Cahalen Morrison and Ethan Lawton perform “traditional, original, and cover songs, three part harmonies, rippin’ instrumentals  and general, all around fun” from 8-10 p.m. Saturday at Empty Sea Studios.
Film screening and discussion of “Starting Again: Stories of Refugee Youth” from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.
Organist Janet Regier performs works by Charles-Marie Widor, J.S. Bach,Vivaldi, Demessieux and others on the II/19 Casavant Pipe Organ from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, 225 N. 70th St. Freewill donation.
Matthew Hartz Trio performs “roots and americana music” from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Empty Sea Studios.
