Live music, Egyptian cabaret and more this weekend

Here are some highlights of events happening around the neighborhood this weekend. Check our Events calendar for more.
Chuck’s 85th St. Market’s Friday beer tasting is from Skagit River Brewing, 5 p.m. Friday; 656 NW 85th St.
Chris Coole and Ivan Rosenberg perform at Empty Sea Studios, 6300 Phinney Ave. N., at 8 p.m. Friday.
Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café at 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. presents “Story Swap” by the Seattle Storytellers Guild at 7:30 p.m. Friday; and “Egypt: Ancient to the Future Cabaret” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op’s huge Gently-used Kid’s Clothing & Gear Sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the Brick Building.
Sustainable Greenwood Phinney presents a free class on starting a vegetable garden from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N.
The Shop Agora at 6417-A Phinney Ave. N. is having a “truffle-filled” tasting from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. “We will be sampling many of our delicious truffle products, such as our truffle popcorn, truffle honey over cheese, truffle almonds, and yes, chocolate with truffle salt!”
Northwest Chamber Chorus performs “Songs Without Words” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave. N.
And if you’re heading downtown this weekend, the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed in both directions for inspection and maintenance work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
