Phinney Center art gallery accepting submissions for 2012

The Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Art Gallery is accepting submissions for its 2012 gallery season. The gallery is looking for visual artists working in 2D or 3D media for individual or group shows.

Our gallery shows are advertised to 15,000 local community members and 3,000-4,000 viewers visit the Phinney Center each month…Our gallery has 88 linear feet of gallery wall space, as well as display capacity for three-dimensional work in locked glass cases and pedestals. The gallery will provide insurance. Priority consideration for gallery shows will go to artists working in the Puget Sound area who are not currently represented by a commercial gallery.

The submission deadline is Tuesday, March 1. The PNA Arts Committee will review all submitted works in late March, and will notify artists on April 30.
Submit application materials to Phinney Center Gallery, Call to Artists- 2012, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103. Questions should be directed to PNA Arts Coordinator Pamela Jaynes, [email protected] or 206-783-2244. There is no fee to submit.
Individual artists should submit a resume with education, arts training, and exhibition history; an artist’s statement – describe the concepts or intent of the work you are submitting (limit your description to one page); no more than three samples of your work on a CD (JPEG format at a resolution of up to 300 dpi with an image size of no more than 1200 pixels per side, and label each image with your last name, the title of your work and its dimensions); a separate list of works submitted, listed and numbered in the order in which it will appear on the CD, including your name, title, medium, and dimensions).
Group artists must submit an artists’ statement that describes how you collaborate or the purpose of showing as a group.
