Hundreds brave the rain for Greenwood Avenue treats

by | Oct 31, 2010

Who cares if it’s raining, as long as you can still trick-or-treat? That seemed to be the theme at the annual Greenwood-Phinney Chamber of Commerce-sponsored trick-or-treat event along Greenwood Avenue Saturday afternoon.
The sidewalks were teeming with princesses and super heroes out to bag as much candy as possible. And some of the merchants passing out treats certainly got into the spirit. This monkey at Herkimer coffee shop was loud and animated (while the man sitting in the window behind him took pictures).

This dapper young gentleman had martini glasses filled with candy.

And Couth Buzzard Books not only gave a piece of candy to each kid, they also let children pick out a free book.
