Art on the Ridge at 8005 Greenwood Ave. N. is selling special paintings to help animals affected by the massive Gulf Oil spill. Opening night of the fundraising effort was last Friday. More than 30 artists have created special pieces to reflect the catastrophe.
The gallery will also take part in another fundraiser, Oil Spill Wildlife Rescue, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Columbia Tower Club, at 701 5th Ave. downtown. Tickets are $35 and include hors d’oeuvres and raffle tickets. All proceeds from the event go to the Nature Conservancy.
