Bake sale raises more than $2,000 for Haiti relief

by | Feb 1, 2010

Yesterday’s Vegan Bake Sale at Neptune Coffee raised more than $2,000 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Neighborhood resident Faith Gundran organized the event with the help of dozens of volunteer bakers, with all proceeds going to benefit Partners In Health.

I’m happy to report the bake sale was a success! Thanks to several volunteers, 30 or so bakers, and around 250 attendees, a total of $2,050 was raised. So far, vegan bake sales across the states have raised over $30,000 for various Haiti relief organizations and there are more in the works!
