Police, helicopter in Greenwood Tuesday night

by | Jan 13, 2010

We received a number of tips concerning a police helicopter over Greenwood last night, and roads blocked off as police scoured nearby streets with flashlights.
Mark Jamieson, spokesman for Seattle Police Department, tells me that SPD was responding to a report of a domestic violence assault in the 100 block of North 81st Street. The suspect was reportedly intoxicated and breaking windows. Officers set up containment areas, and the King County Sheriff’s Office sent their helicopter to help in the search.
“We did not locate the suspect. We know who this person is,” Jamieson said.
Thanks to everyone for the tips.
