Neighbor spoils attempted burglary in Greenwood

by | Oct 3, 2009

According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, an alert neighbor helped police catch an attempted burglar in action on Friday morning:

On 10/2/09 at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of N. 90th St. after a witness saw a man break out the back window of his neighbor’s house and enter. Upon arrival officers covered the front and back of the house.

The suspect looked out the window and realized he had nowhere to go. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Youth Service Center. The home owner was notified and responded. The suspect was attempting to take computer and electronic equipment. Everything was returned.

Thanks, Steve, for the tip!
